Crisis Lines - support, help and advice

 If you prefer to text, SHOUT 85258 is a great crisis support service   that one of our trustees has volunteered for. If you're in crisis and need support, Text SHOUT to 85258 to chat with a crisis support worker. As always, if you are in immediate danger, call 999.

 Citizens Advice Bureau has a number of specialist people, able to   help give advice and support on a variety of subjects, with booked   & walk in appointments, but check online for you nearest branch .  

Hidden disabilities is an industry recognised system of providing a visual acknowledgement of people with hidden disabilities. 

For those who wish to have them, Hidden Disabilities issue sunflower lanyards or ID cards so that various people in authority can recognise that you have a hidden disability, that you may need some assistance, help, or a little more time. 

These lanyards have been particularly useful in the service industry, especially in shopping centres, many of whom have kept a stock of the lanyards at their information desks.

The most well known UK charity for autistic people and their families. Having been established in 1962, they work in a variety of fields to improve the lives of those on the spectrum and their families.

Ambitious About Autism

Starting in 1997 by parents as a way of providing a better education for 4 pupils, this charity has gone on to help change the way children on the spectrum are taught & understood and have helped 1000's of children.
